San Diego Regional Center embraces a “best practices approach.” We seek partnerships with service providers who offer high-quality services that are state-of-the-art and person-centered.
Clients at SDRC have the freedom to select their services, type of support, and their service providers. Providers may assist with the client’s daily needs or with services clients choose to enhance their lives and support their involvement in the community.

become a provider!
Service providers play a critical role in the well-being of people with developmental disabilities. In San Diego and Imperial County, SDRC serves thousands of individuals who rely on our partnerships with service providers.
To learn more about becoming a service provider, contact the Community Services Department to discuss the proposed service and process.
All prospective providers must complete an application and a process called vendorization. This process enables SDRC to ensure that applicants meet all the requirements specified in the regulations before providing services to clients. Once the application is submitted with the required forms, licenses, and certificates, SDRC has 45 days from receipt of the application to determine whether the applicant meets the requirements of Title 17.
Provider Resources
Request for Proposals
The San Diego Regional Center issues request for proposals (RFPs) when it has been determined necessary to create a new resource that will directly benefit consumers. Before issuing an RFP, an analysis is conducted to assess the needed scope of service, start-up funding, and projected annual costs. RFPs are awarded through a competitive process and reviewed by the RFP Review Committee.
Applicants will be notified of decisions within 30 days after their submission.
