BA/BS Labor Grade 14: $25.04 to $27.54 an hour
Master’s Labor Grade 16: $28.80 to $31.67 an hour

Duties:
Under general supervision of the Community Services Manager, the Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Specialist will facilitate all phases of service providers’ compliance with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid’s HCBS rules. This position requires the employee to become the HCBS expert for the San Diego Regional Center (SDRC).
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Social Work, Social Services, Sociology, Rehabilitation, Special Education, Health Education, or a related field.
Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree: At least two (2) years’ experience working with persons with developmental disabilities.
Master’s Degree: At least one (1) year’ experience working with persons with developmental disabilities.
Ability to provide outreach and training to existing residential and non-residential service providers, (i.e. day programs), clients, family support groups, and SDRC staff regarding the HCBS rules and programs impacted by its requirements; act as liaison to provider projects under the HCBS grant cycles; and establish communication and teamwork across all agency departments. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.
Position requires reliable and timely transportation to perform regular job duties on a routine basis out of the office. Mileage reimbursement will be provided for use of a personal registered vehicle with proof of insurance and a valid driver’s license.
